De La Torre was out patrolling in his precinct when he conducted a traffic stop on a 4 door passenger vehicle that was transporting 4 undocumented immigrants.
At that point De La Torre, with the assistance of the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department, detained two local residents who were then turned over to the United States Border Patrol along with 4 undocumented male individuals.
The vehicle was then impounded.
Both subjects now face federal criminal charges for the transportation of illegal aliens.

Maverick County Constable for Pct 2 Albert De La Torre reported that while out patrolling on Tuesday evening in the La Herradura area of the community, he conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle which resulted in the arrest of two male subjects and 4 undocumented immigrants.
